War With Impunity
A child with a gun
Let’s see. A bit of a screed but stick with me.
fTr*mp withdraws from Obama’s verifiable nuclear deal with Iran
fTr*mp uses big bombs and say’s he “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear program
fTr*mp, the pedophile, loses control of Epstein files narrative
fTr*mp invades and fails in Minnesota
fTr*mp domestic policies and popularity are in the gold toilet
fTr*mp tries to renegotiate with Iran but offers nothing
fTr*mp takes gifts from Arab states
fTr*mp bombs Iran again
The media discusses the size of the bombs and their targets
Congress does nothing
This is not normal. Yet all of us treat fTr*mp as a normal president. fTr*mp is f*cking nuts.
We ask the logical question that normal sane people would ask. Why is he invading Iran?
There are two main answers to this question. But understand that none of the reasons fTr*mp does anything are for others. He doesn’t give a sh*t about Iran. Repeat. He doesn’t give a sh*t about Iran. He has no plan. If you think so, just look at his lazy man’s attempt at regime change in… what was the name of that country… last week… it’s on the tip of my tongue. Oh, yes. Venezcuba? He is a child with a gun.
First, he is doing this to distract from his domestic problems and to consulate power. The last act of consolidating fascist power is to start a war. Hitler did it? Did we forget? Putin did it. Weren’t we watching? Now Trump is doing it. And yep. Most of us aren’t even paying attention. We’re too busy finding a job, trying to pay for healthcare, trying to feed our families.
He says it’s for regime change. Because the regime killed thousands of the opposition. Why did he wait until now then? Next we’ll likely hear that Iran is going to threaten our upcoming elections. He doesn’t give a sh*t about Iran. Do we think that little Marco Rubio is going to step in with a plan to rebuild or work with a new regime? His boss has destroyed most of our countries capabilities for intelligence, states craft or rebuilding anything. fTr*mp only destroys, he builds nothing.
The second reason is for money. It’s always about the money for fTr*mp. His and his family’s net wealth has increased $4 Billion over the last year. Much of it from investment by wealthy Arab states and selling meme coins. We’re paying back favors from rich little countries who worry about Iran. How will they get their oil out if the Straights of Vermouth? I mean Hormuz.
The problem is that our country seems to have forgotten the values on which it was founded. Things like freedom of speech, separation of powers, rule-of-law, and all men are created equal. Instead, we have confused capitalism and democracy. So that money and power are more important than taking care of our neighbors. Why in the richest country in the world would we suspend funding for cancer research for our kids? Or jeez, if we spend a trillion dollars a year on the Department of War, we might also spend it on things that help our citizens, or those things like China’s road and belt initiative. Then maybe we wouldn’t have to bomb… wait, who gets paid for making the bombs, missiles, planes…? We’ll their good for our economy. Don’t worry. It will trickle down.
Here’s the deal. fTr*mp continues to act with impunity. He has never faced consequences for any of the outrageous harms inflicted on us or others. He was right. He said, “I could literally shoot someone, and I wouldn’t lose any voters.” Now he’s done it by proxy in Minneapolis. He’s done it in a hundred different ways from a Measles outbreak to lowering pollution standards that will kill more of us. He is the one who is unaccountable. Even for starting a war. Forbid that any U.S. Soldiers are killed. Bombing from a distance requires courage? He bombs with impunity. So far. But he is a weak little man pretending to be a strongman.
Sorry, I know every Tom, and Dick is opining about the war with Iran. But I made a pledge to never post about a problem without offering some solutions. This one is above my capacity, and I need your help. You are smart, compassionate, patriotic people. Jump in.
My thoughts.
1. Help set the reasonable goal of nothing less than removing this malignancy from power.
2. Repeat this goal often. At the proverbial office cooler. At daycare as you pick up your kids. At your place of worship. At your kid’s soccer match. (Yes, it’s that serious. I am no longer standing to our national anthem but instead doing a Kaepernick.)
3. You are stronger and more powerful than you think. Take responsibility and take action. Do one thing each week to achieve the goal above. Again, talk to your neighbors. Call your legislators. Call the Supremes and tell them you want Detroit back.
4. Join your friends and neighbors in the streets. March 28th.
5. Participate in economic boycotts and strikes.
6. Look to Minnesota for their pain, courage and inspiration. If they can come out when its -30 windchill, what can we do? Understand that effort to avoid pain now is one tenth the effort needed to avoid it later. And worse is coming if we do nothing now.
7. Form communities that you can trust and where you can support each other.
8. Work like hell on the elections. I am very fearful that he will invoke a national emergency and use ICE at polling places to counter the threat of Iranian voting machines or some such BS.
9. Give fTr*mp no oxygen. Focus on our values and not the particular issues. Focus on our vision for a better country. i.e. I believe in country where…. I believe in a country where we all deserve health care.
10. Pray if you must for cholesterol and plaque.
Thanks for listening to me rant. Like here below if you’ve stuck with me this far. And get outside.
See you in the streets.
We Are All Connected!
